This Privacy Policy describes how FoodyFoo Inc. collects, uses, and protects user information for its meal-planning and grocery delivery services within the United States.

2. Eligibility

FoodyFoo is intended for users aged 13 and older and is designed for adult use.

3. Information We Collect

We collect account information, preferences, app usage data, and communications necessary to operate the Service.

4. Third-Party Services

Payments and precise location data are handled exclusively by third-party providers. In-app usage is tracked and shared with PostHog to support application development and user application interaction. This data is not sold to any third-party provider.

5. Use of Information

Information is used to operate, personalize, improve, and market the Service.

6. Data Retention

Data is retained only as long as necessary for service and legal purposes.

7. Account Deletion

Users may request deletion of their account and personal data.

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described below.

Members of your household. If you create or join a household, the other current members can see the household meal plan and grocery list, plus the custom recipes you add to My Recipes (including recipe photos and nutrition). Your name is shown next to recipes you added. Your favorites, account details, and subscription information are not shared with household members. If you leave a household, its members can no longer see your recipes, and you can no longer see theirs.

Service providers. We use trusted providers to operate the Service on our behalf, and they may process your data only for that purpose. They include:
- cloud hosting and storage;
- email delivery;
- payment processing (Apple, Google and Stripe);
- AI features such as the assistant and recipe scanning;
- recipe and nutrition data;
- app analytics and crash diagnostics;
- advertising attribution, used only as allowed by your device's tracking settings.

Product and nutrition lookups. When you scan a product barcode, we send only the barcode number to public food databases (the USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts) to find the product's nutrition information. No personal information is included.

Third-party services you choose to use. If you choose to shop your grocery list with a partner such as Instacart, the items you send are shared with that partner, and their own privacy policy applies.

Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or FoodyFoo.

Business transfers. If FoodyFoo is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

9. Data Security

Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect data.

10. User Rights

Users may access, correct, or delete their personal data.

11. Policy Updates

This policy may be updated periodically without notice.
